Cool idea, but also not so cool idea.

Reason 1:
Portals aren't really good for anything. I personally find them annoying, and it would change the entire icon list.

Reason 2:
We don't try to be like the other forums. This is a modern twist on a classic idea, and we don't have to copy eveyone else.

So, to conclude, probably not, unless someone can come up with a good reason and convince me otherwise.

I find them annoying too, that's why I have memorize the index url everytime...
