Post count

We would like to keep a steady average post count for our forum. My current goal is ten posts per day.

10/20: Starting amount: 6.01
10/21: We're up! 6.07
10/22: We're up again! 6.33 (posts per day)
10/24: We're up again! 6.42
10/25: We're up again! 6.59
10/29: Declining Sad

6.35
10/30: Back up! 6.53 Very Happy

10/31: NEW RECORD!!!! 6.79
11/1: Drat. Declining again: 6.73
11/4: Down yet again: 6.59
11/5: NOW I'm worried: 6.56
11/7: This will be hard to get back up! 6.64
11/8: Or not as hard as I thought: 6.79
11/9: CONGRATULATIONS! WE TOPPED SEVEN! 7.06
11/11: NICE - 8.25
11/12: This is Great! Keep up the good work - 8.61
11/13: Up - 8.66
11/15: Oh no! Doooown! 8.55
11/17: Somehow up: 8.6
11/18: Dwindling. This board is gonna die if we dont' do something - 8.47
11/20: New Record, but will we keep it up there for long? - 8.67
11/22: Despite what I previously thought, another record: 8.79
11/23: As we approach ChristMas, we also approach the big ten, which I never thought possible - 8.94
11/25: Same as two days ago. A first: 8.94
11/26: Just down two one hundredeths of a post: 8.92
11/27: Down again. We need to get posting! - 8.85
11/28: Because of our members' inability to stay active, our forum is dying - 8.78
11/29: If this keeps going for the next five days, I can guarantee we will NEVER bring it up again without a surge of members - 8.71
11/30: I don't give this much hope - 8.67
12/5: Been sick for a few days. I don't give this forum much hope if this post count continues to decline for the next 25 days now that luigi is gone. - 8.47

Yes! Its just spam. Posts that have 3 or more words are not spam as long as they have not double posted.

Bingo. We have got our posting status back. I am still pretty confident we can make it to ten. But not ten posts per day of spam, nosirrenellybob. VALUE posts. It makes the forum look good. The first thing I do when I look at an almost empty forum is the "statistics" link at the bottom of every page. That is where I get the "posts per day" numbers. Good luck forum, you have a mission...
